As an institution serving Lakȟóta students, families, and community on the Pine Ridge Reservation in educational and church settings, and through The Heritage Center, privacy is very important to us. We also respect your right to privacy and we are committed to sharing our privacy policy with you.

General Postal Mail Privacy Policy

  1. Mailing List
    Friends who make donations or request information are put on our mailing list. We do purchase names and postal addresses from other respected organizations. These groups have been carefully screened through The Direct Mail Association. For information on The DMA’s policies and procedures — or to have your information removed from all lists, please visit the DMA’s website at https://www.dmachoice.org/
  2. Renting/Exchanging Names
    We make select portions of our postal mailing list available to carefully screened organizations. However, you always have the option to be removed from our exchange and rental lists.   3. Birthdays
    Sometimes we receive birth dates from various persons and sources so that we can send a card and remember you in our prayers on your birthday.  We do not share this information.   4. Credit Card Information
    We use a credit card processor for donations given via credit card. This company does not share or use personally identifiable information for secondary purposes. All credit card information is encrypted. All credit card information is shredded or destroyed and is not retained without your permission.
  5. Off-Line Info
    All off-line information is securely stored and is accessible only by authorized staff.
  6. Special Requests
    Our goal is to provide a quality education of the mind and spirit to our Lakȟóta students of Maȟpiya Lúta | Red Cloud and pastoral assistance to their families.  We are happy to honor all reasonable instructions and requests.
