The Board of Directors of Maȟpíya Lúta is happy to announce the appointment of Fr. David Mastrangelo, SJ, as the organization’s next President, following an extensive search and selection process.
Fr. David Mastrangelo brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and vision to Maȟpíya Lúta. “We are confident that Fr. David’s qualities will contribute significantly to the future success and growth of Maȟpíya Lúta,” said Steve Wilcox, Chair of the Search Committee and Board Member.
About accepting the role, Fr. Mastrangelo shared, “I am humbled and honored to accept the role of President of Maȟpíya Lúta. This organization is truly unique in its commitment to fostering Lakȟóta and Catholic values and practices, and this vision is what drew me here three years ago. I look forward to collaborating with our dedicated, creative, and talented staff, artists, educators, pastoral team, and all those who work so hard behind the scenes to make our work possible.”
The Board expresses its sincere gratitude to Dr. Raymond Nadolny, PhD, for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to Maȟpíya Lúta. Under Dr. Nadolny’s guidance, the organization achieved significant milestones, and the Board is certain that Fr. David will build upon his impressive legacy.
Fr. Mastrangelo will begin his post as President on April 1, 2024.
