A new vision and mission for Maȟpíya Lúta

Multiple

It is essential for organizations to periodically review their vision and mission statements to ensure alignment with current initiatives and programming. Recognizing the need for an update, our organization embarked on a journey to refresh its mission statement and establish a vision for Maȟpíya Lúta, a crucial step that had not been taken before.

Over the past year, a dedicated task force, composed of members from various Maȟpíya Lúta departments, collaborated with the goal of revising and updating the organization’s vision and mission statement. Unlike the previous focus on mission statement redrafting for specific entities such as schools, churches, and The Heritage Center, this effort aimed at crafting a unified vision and mission for the entire organization.

The task force engaged in multiple rounds of data collection to inform the development of the new vision and mission statements. Surveys were distributed to staff, parishioners, and parents, while in-person listening sessions and small group activities took place with the Board of Directors and staff. In December, the task force convened for a final meeting to perform last-minute edits and prepare for presentation to the Board of Directors.

In January 2024, the Board of Directors voted to approve the new vision and mission statement, with a single exception: the addition of “Jesuit” to both statements. Join us in celebrating our updated vision and mission:
