Facilities

Facilities encompasses the work required to maintain and improve Maȟpíya Lúta’s buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. This includes maintenance, custodial services, repairs, safety, improvements, and the construction and renovation of facilities.
The Facilities Team supports four schools across Maȟpíya Lúta’s two campuses and maintains six churches located throughout the Pine Ridge Reservation. The recent completion of the Čhatkú Arts Center and new water tower has transformed the landscape of Maȟpíya Lúta and the surrounding community.

Looking ahead, the team is coordinating the developement of a comprehensive master plan to guide campus growth and improvements over the next 30–40 years. Future priorities include safer and more reliable roads, operational zones, intentional space for new initiatives, and facilities that will continue meeting the needs of Maȟpíya Lúta’s students, staff, families, and community.
