Mahpiya Luta is proud to celebrate a season of success as five outstanding student-athletes signed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level. March has been filled with excitement as Essence Tobacco, Jessica Waln, Nate LeBeaux, Abigail Haas, and Jodene Big Crow – Hunter officially committed to compete at the next level.
🏀 Essence Tobacco signed to play basketball at United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, North Dakota. Known for her hustle, heart, and leadership on the court, Essence is ready to take her game to the next level and represent her community with pride.
🤼♀️ Jessica Waln signed to wrestle at Bismarck State College. A fierce competitor with a strong drive to succeed, Jessica has shown what it means to be dedicated both on the mat and in the classroom. Her commitment marks another historic milestone for Redhawk athletics.
🏈 Nate LeBeaux committed to Dakota Wesleyan University to play football. A force on the field and a leader in the locker room, Nate’s determination and work ethic have paved the way for this exciting new chapter.
🏀 Abigail Haas is headed to North Platte to continue her basketball career. With her grit, focus, and team-first attitude, Abigail has made a lasting impact at Mahpiya Luta and is well-prepared for the college court.
🏀 Jodene Big Crow – Hunter signed with Haskell Indian Nations University to play basketball. Jodene’s leadership and talent have inspired her team and community, and her future at Haskell promises even more success.
