January 25–31, 2026 marks Catholic Schools Week, a national celebration of Catholic education. This year’s National Catholic Schools Week theme is “Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community.” On the Mahpiya Luta Campus, students embraced the spirit of the celebration with their own week-long themes centered on “Unite in Faith and Community.”
For Mackert Principal Randilynn Boucher, Catholic Schools Week is a meaningful opportunity for K–4 students and families to reflect on the values that guide their school community.
“Catholic Schools Week allows our students and families to focus on how we help each other,” Boucher shared. “It’s a good reminder in the middle of the year that helps us finish strong.”
Each day’s theme—from School Pride Day to Family Traditions Day—connects directly to the values students practice throughout the school year. “These values are reflected through deep thought as we work with students to push the value further,” Boucher explained. “Our students engage in learning and doing, which shows them what the action of each of these values really carries.”
The impact of Catholic Schools Week extends well beyond the celebration itself. “We have a week full of activities and projects that will be up in our school for the coming month,” Boucher said. “Students will get to see them daily and be reminded of what they learned and experienced.”
For Mackert’s youngest learners, Catholic Schools Week is more than a series of themed days—it’s a time to strengthen faith, build community, and celebrate the shared values that unite students, families, and staff.
